Most times it's amazing how the wrong things lure us in, they are the most attractive or seem like the most attractive at the time. It all feels right at the time or so you think.
Gentle but slowly,
With a steady tempo;
She moved on the earth's wildness,
Captivated by the beauty of it all;
She was unaware of moving in quicksand;
With every step she sunk deeper and deeper.
The feel of it was unknown;
She revelled in the sensation of going under,
Thought it bliss but it was terror unleashed;
In the course of it awareness arrived;
She wondered still how to get out.
Too late it seemed, all hope non-existent;
Yet she saw herself go even deeper,
Her subconscious counselling her about how she is the key to her Freedom!!!.
